The Claude Mods Directory is an independent, community-driven catalogue of Claude Code Mods — the TypeScript modules that hook into Claude Code's agent pipeline, launched October 1, 2026. We are not affiliated with Anthropic.
Why this exists
Mods exploded from zero to dozens of repositories in days, scattered across GitHub with no central place to find them. Our mission is simple: help developers discover mods worth installing, and help mod authors get found. Every listing links to its source repository so you can read the code before you trust it — which, since mods are not sandboxed, you should.
How the directory works
- Verified repos only. Every mod listed here was checked against a real GitHub repository. No placeholders, no vaporware.
- Star counts are a snapshot (October 2026) to give a rough sense of traction — not a ranking of quality.
- Updated weekly. New mods are discovered from GitHub and the community catalogue and added on an ongoing basis.
- Guides, not just links. The ultimate guide, install walkthrough, and FAQ are maintained alongside the directory.
What we list — and what we don't
- Real, working mods only. If the repository is empty, the code does not run, or it has nothing to do with Claude Code, it does not get listed.
- No paid placements. Nothing in the directory or the "best" lists can be bought today. If sponsored listings ever exist, they will be clearly labeled as such.
- No ranking games. Star counts are shown as a rough traction signal, not a quality verdict. Small, focused mods from unknown authors get the same fair listing as the popular ones.
